Christmas this year is definitely going to be different to any other Christmas simply because we are not going to be able to do all the things we would usually do but also thanks to the lockdowns, people simply do not have the money that they would have in past years. Thankfully this year brands seem to have considered this and there is a greater variety of smaller gifts but also festive baubles.
I can only assume that the festive beauty baubles were never intended to be placed on your tree as a lot of them are quite heavy but I love the cute idea that incorporates Christmas and also limits the size of the gift. These Christmas baubles are the perfect mini present for people that maybe you don't know as well or someone that you don't want to spend too much on but that is not to say that some of these are not absolutely gorgeous gifts. I always buy a few of these to add to gifts as they are great little boosters to other gifts.
I wanted to share with you some of my top picks from the massive range of Christmas baubles that are available this year. In a way it seems like we have come from the Beauty Advent Calendar being the ultimate gift to the complete other end of the scale with baubles being the more favoured option. As there are so many, I have taken the time to narrow it down for you.

Caudalie - Mini Mist Bauble
The Caudalie Beauty Elixir is an icon in the beauty world. It is a product that you never need in your life but it is something that you want. It is a princess product which makes it a perfect gift. I am not a massive toner user but this is one that I actually use. Admittedly I do not use it when you would typically use a toner, I use this at the end of my skincare routine for a burst of refreshment and hydration.
This spray is infused with so many extracts that it helps to give your skin a radiance and even helps with the appearance of pores. Once I have sprayed this, my skin looks slightly healthy. This spray is also great if you have used a bit too much powder, it takes away that powdery look post makeup. Please note it will not set makeup though.
Last year the bottle in the bauble was a limited edition ombre pink which made me want the bauble even more whereas this year they have stuck with the traditional bottle but that doesn't make this any less pretty, it has the green vines going all over the bottle which looks lovely. You get a 30ml bottle in this bauble which lasts a long time and is actually quite heavy so there is no way you are putting this on a tree, it is definitely part of a gift instead.
This bauble is £12 so it is one of the cheaper baubles and it is a very luxury item. This is a good one for the person in your life who has absolutely everything but loves beauty!
Slip - Scrunchies Bauble
Speaking of gifts for the people who have everything, silk hair bands are great and something that people do not really consider. I am all for silk hair products as it is so much kinder to your hair than a cheap elastic. However a silk hairband is not a must which is why it is a great present. They are a must for me now that I have used them for over a year but other people wouldn't see it that way, especially when they look at the price.
Slip were definitely one of the first brands to bring silk to haircare in a widely commercial way but a lot of brands have now followed. There is a brand called Silke who also create silk hair bands and hair wraps which are slightly cheaper than Slip but not vastly cheaper. There is also a brand called Kitsch who create similar products but it is key to note that they are satin opposed to silk so you do not get the same benefits but they are significantly cheaper. So far Slip are the only brand to have created a Christmas Bauble and this is the second year that they have launched it.
Last years edition was a selection of 4 of their traditional skinny scrunchies in 4 shades that they already created: pink, white, black and caramel whereas this year they have played with it a little bit and personally I know I prefer the colours this year. This year the holiday collection is made up of a deep burgundy and a rich rose gold, which are my absolute favourite colours for this time of year.
Now that I have been using the silk scrunchies for a year, I see the benefit of using them and I will not use anything else. My hair has seen far less breakage over this year which has meant it has been looking fuller. This bauble is £25 so it is one of the more expensive ones I am going to talk about but I also think it is one of the best.

Emma Hardie - Merrily Moringa
The Merry Moringa Set is the cheapest beauty bauble that I have included at £10 but it is one of the best. If you are looking to give the gift of amazing skin and an incredible product, the Moringa Balm is an instant winner.
I am hard to please when it comes to cleansers and the Moringa cleanser is one of my top products. This is a thick balm cleanser that melts as you apply it to your skin, removing every scrap of makeup whilst nourishing. This cleanser removes all makeup, even waterproof mascara which is rare, it is the only cleanser that I will actually use on my eye area. Some cleansers can feel quite stripping but this does not at all. It does not lather up at all, instead it creates an oil but it is easy to remove and feels sumptuous on your skin.
This set also contains a cleansing cloth and the Emma Hardie Cleansing Cloths are lovely, they feel more like a towel than a muslin cloth but it provides a gentle exfoliation which is a key part of cleansing.
This is a great additional item to any gift that you want to boost or if you simply want to try this balm. The full size of this balm is around £40 which is really expensive for a product you don't know that you are going to like. When I first tried this balm I had a tub this size for the Marks and Spencer Advent Calendar and I have not looked back. I continue to buy this size when I travel as I know this works.

Becca - Shimmering Skin Perfector Ornament
I am sure we are now at a point where anyone who has an interest in beauty will have tried a Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector but just in case they haven't, the Skin Perfector Ornament can change that. Becca became a main stream brand thanks to these highlighters and they are absolutely incredible, probably one of the best highlighters on the market.
This is a mini Skin Perfector and to be honest that is all you need. I have a full size Skin Perfector and I haven't even hit pan because I use such a small amount of it at a time and the full size is huge. This mini size is much more reasonable and you might actually be able to use it up.
Traditionally Becca have picked some strange colours to go into these mini highlight compacts but this year they have stuck with a classic shade, really the one that made the brand, Champagne Pop. Champagne Pop started out as a limited edition collaboration with Jaclyn Hill but over the years Jaclyn was removed, the highlight became permanent and it remains one of their best selling shades. C-Pop is quite a gold highlight but it has elements of white gold which helps to lighten it a bit so people who are pale like me can use it during the Summer. It is relatively universal which makes it a good gift.
It comes in cute lavender packaging which makes it a little bit special. This is one of the only beauty baubles that you could actually put on your tree and it wouldn't look out of place and it wouldn't weigh down the tree like some of the other ones I have included. This ornament is £16 which seems like a lot when you consider you get two Wishful products in a bauble for the same price but these highlighters are game changing and are completely worth the money. If you know someone who hasn't tried one of these highlighters, this is the perfect gift.
There are so many great bauble options this season so you can pick up some great gifts for others but also try some products that you have always wanted to try. Buying some of these in previous years is how I have fallen in love with some of these products. I bought the Slip Scrunchie Baube last year and it was the reason I fell in love with the brand and the same applies to the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, I hadn't tried it before but now I cannot be without it.
If you have seen any great Christmas baubles, please let me know!
